Natural Beauty Discoveries from Poland

18:41 Melka 2 Comments

Increased awareness of how beauty industry overloads  products with toxic ingredients leads to the need of safer and more natural alternatives. This trend takes place in every European country. This month, I had a look at Polish natural beauty industry. Read on if you'd like to find out what I discovered.

Natural Discoveries from Poland

1.Tolpa Peat Bath Concentrate - it contains highly effective detoxifying and firming mud called "BOROWINA"- a natural and powerful product of nature to draw out toxins, boost microcirculation in cells and to speed up the burning of fatty tissue. It is therefore used very often in SPA salons. On top of that, "borowina" will help allieviate muscle pains, has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties  It's recommended to use twice a week or after a tiring day. Infused with natural lavender, petitgrain, geranium and sage it will relax the mind and regenerate the body. It is formulated with no PEGs, SLSs, frtificial fragrances, silicones nor formaldehydes. The price tag is next to nothing - 29.99PLN which in £s equals circa £5.87 per 270ml
For a list of harmful ingredients please visit here List

2. If you love abundance of natural extracts and active components in your skincare then Synesis Diamond Face Cream is the one. It surprised me with its list of ingredients that reads as follows: Olive Oil, Acmella Oreacea (toothache plant), Sea Buckthorn Oil, Pomegranate Seed Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil, Wheat Protein, Vitamin E, Centenella Asiatica (Gotu Cola), Diamond Dust. The lesser known Acmella Oreacea stimulates and strengthens collagen stores in the skin, the oils nourish and Centenella Asiatica has anti ageing properties. The description does not mention how the Diamond Dust works on the skin, so this will need further investigation. The cream is available online from a luxurious boutique called Synesis and costs 350PLN (around £68) per 50ml tub.

3. This product caught my attention as it is a Handmade, Natural Eye Make Up Remover Oil, that with its simplicity of ingredients - Jojoba, Chamomile and Olive Oils is formulated to gently take off all impurities off your eyes and soothe irritated skin. 50ml bottle ranks at 27PLN or £5.28. Something my eyes really need.

4.Zielone Laboratorium (Green Laboratory in free translation) Body Wash is a pure product with no SLSs, SLSEs, Parabens, Silicones, Mineral Oil, PEGs or artificial colourants, it is sutable for Vegans as no animal related ingredients were used in both production process and the formula itself. I decided to pick this gel for it has a coconut extracted cleansing active. Apple Juice Extract and Cranberry Seed Powder is fruity blend protecting skin's natural barrier at the same time. Refreshed body at an instant. (Price- around £7.50 per 250g)

5. This little hero is a Soothing Eye Cream by Sylveco for a very sensitive skin. It won a mention in  my post due to its ingredient list  - protecting Grape Seed Oil, anti ageing Argan Oil, brightening Tree of Light Extract, puffiness diminishing Cornflower Extract, Shea Butter, Squalane - but the most intriguing amongst these is a LUPEOL, this phytosterol widely found in fruit and vegetables has proven pharmacological activities like wound healing or anti inflammatory properties. In an eye cream this can result in skin cell renewal. For those of you who like to look in more details, see the full ingredient list:

Ingredients/INCI: Aqua, Vitis Vinifera Seed Oil, Glycine Soja Oil, Sorbitan Stearate and Sucrose Cocoate, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter, Squalane, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glyceryl Stearate, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Stearic Acid, Cetearyl Alcohol, Euphrasia Officinalis Extract, Centaurea Cyanus Flower Extract, Benzyl Alcohol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Betulin, Xanthan Gum, Dehydroacetic Acid, Lupeol, Oleanolic Acid.

The cost ranks at £5.30 per 30 ml pump bottle.

6. Tolpa Peat Soap - another product with "BOROWINA", in a form of cleansing bar this time, it can assist with your everyday body care regime to support your skin's detoxifying process, and therefore improve its condition on the surface and deeper level. Rose Tree, Ylan Ylang, Bergamot and Sage Essential Oils will give your senses a lasting feeling of balance and harmony.

7. My last pick from Polish natural beauty market is Put&Rub Rose Water Mist - to refresh face and body. Created for hot Summer days, gentle and soothing formula may astonish even the most demanding and irritation prone individuals. I just love anything with Rose in my beauty products at the moment and it looks like I am not alone as this Rose Water got many positive reviews from happy Polish customers. It costs- 29PLN - £5.67 per 100ml.

Hope you enjoyed learning about the above natural beauty products. Do you use any skincare or make up that is other than British made? Any recommendations?

ARABELLE SKINSENSE - NATURAL BEAUTY OILS REVIEWED -PART 2

16:11 Melka 0 Comments

This evening, I applied Arabelle Blissfully Sensual Body Oil. If you read the first part of this series you would have learnt that the whole range has a fantastic base of Organic Apricot Kernel Oil and Organic Sweet Almond Oil that feed the skin with vitamin A, B1, B2, B6, B12 and E. This fact alone is a good enough reason to consider trying but I have found  something else that makes me melt... It's the unique Essential Oils composition. So, what's inside of the Blissfully Sensual Body Oil?

Ylang Ylang Essential Oil
Basil Essential Oil
Patchouli Essential Oil
Sandalwood Essential Oil
Neroli Essential Oil

I am sat here now with my senses calmly euphoric, if this state is even possible. Patchouli and Sandalwood envelope my skin in warm, sensual aroma, whereas Basil, Ylang Ylang and Neroli create a more ravishing sensation of a sexy fragrance - not wild however - very much balanced and harmonious rather.

Who is it for?

Everyone looking for a unique natural body care product that will nourish and tone the skin and who would love to pamper their senses with ecstatic scent of mind blowing essential oil blend.

Interesting fact about Arabelle Skinsense Body Oils

The formula has some Rosemary Oil Extract added to it that acts like a natural plant active to extend shelf life of Arabelle Oils. If this isn't convincing enough, let me just mention anti-ageing properties of this ingredient. It will tone and provide you with natural glow, also has some proven benefits to fight acne and oily skin.

Splash without hesitation. Arabelle Skinsense Blissfully Sensual Body Oil can be bought online for £18.50 per 200ml bottle.

ARABELLE SKINSENSE - NATURAL BODY OILS REVIEWED - PART 1

14:59 Melka 0 Comments

I was lucky to be offered Arabelle Skinsense body oils to try not so long ago and once they arrived I spent each day with different variant of this natural creation. These skin softening products are all based on Organic Apricot Kernel and Organic Sweet Almond Oils which I like for their nutritious and nourishing properties. Arabelle oils may feel rich when first applied to the skin but after rubbing them in you'll notice how quickly they are absorbed into your skin without leaving a greasy residue.

Arabelle Serenity Body Oil was the first pick on my agenda It is formulated with  relaxing and somewhat mysterious essential oils, Clary Sage, Ylang Ylang, Benzoin and Jasmine together with Lavender, Chamomile and Petitgrain - altogether they took me on a heavenly satisfying adventure. I have never smelled anything similar before and I must admit - I like it very much. The scent of essential oils is quite strong but only to comfort me into a more subtle equivalent of initial sensation. I can't emphasize enough how much pleasure I got from using this oil - benzoin essential oil lingered on my skin for a whole afternoon through to late evening and for those who prefer sensual perfume, this oil is a perfect natural choice. In addition this soothing blend contains Organic Grape Seed Oil and complex Vitamin E that prevent aging of the skin. Arabelle Skinsense Serenity Body Oil is priced at £18.50 per 200ml which I reckon will assist you with minimum three months of after-shower indulgence.

Please visit this page again to find out what I thought of Arabelle Skinsense Stimulate Body Oil.

4 very strong reasons to do HIIT - MONDAY MOTIVATIONAL TALK

02:28 Melka 0 Comments

It looks like the sunshine has settled in UK for a little longer. With it comes good mood and some breaking news - 25 minutes 3-4 times a week  is all you need to get fit, loose weigth and keep it off - with HIIT which stands for High Intensity Interval Training. Read more to see why:

YOU WILL SEE THE RESULTS  IMMEDIATELY

This is so simple, you get out of your workout what you put in - high intensity physical activity mixed with low intensity intervals challenges your body to condition you at all levels - Endurance, Strength, Agility, Power, Explosiveness - you tick all of these within your 25 minutes. If this doesn't encourage you, your health is at risk.

IT BOOSTS METABOLISM FOR UP TO 48 HOURS AFTER TRAINING

This means you are burning calories at faster pace even when you don't exercise, that's an immediate effect of HIIT, so start now, and you will be sitting on a very firm ass in no time.

IT ONLY TAKES 25 MINUTES

Sure you can exercise for as long as your fitness level allows you but for those who are super busy or aren't exercise fans,  25 minutes sounds like a bearable time to sacrifice to get fitter. No excuses.

THERE ARE NO STRICT GUIDELINES TO FOLLOW

HIIT can be performed in many ways, the length of high and low intensity intervals can vary depending on your fitness or goals. The only rule is... give it ALL OUT during your high intensity intervals.

What's more, you choose which exercises to do, so you don't need to dread those burpees if you don't agree with them. There are  many exercises that target the same muscle groups, variety will make you stick to your workout plan. Do high knees instead or mountain climbers, or alternating lunges, or...

Below is an example of HIIT I do:

 10 x 45 seconds HIGH and  10 x 15 seconds LOW - 10 MINUTES TOTAL

WARM UP

H High knees 45 secs
L ...15 secs

What do I do during L intervals? - Just breathe.

BAREFOOTED BEAUTY - Melvita extra-soft foot creme - REVIEW PART 3

17:53 Melka 2 Comments

It's about time to add another review to natural foot creams series, this time it is the Melvita Extra-Soft Foot Cream in the spotlight.

Packaging:
The cream comes in a big tube - 150ml which is very generous amount provided. The product can be easily squeezed out, I noticed however that the tube is made of quite a thick plastic material, which may cause some difficulties when trying to get the last bits of this cream. I guess I will have to use scissors to cut through the tube but this method isn't perfect as it will make the product dry out.
You can find lots of useful information on the label - full list of ingredients, or percentage of ingredients that are of natural origin (98%). what I personally really like about this cream's labelling is that its description comes in many languages: English, French, German, Italian some Spanish and Dutch at the back too. The citizen of the world this cream is.

Texture and Scent:
The texture reminds me of that found in Fromage Frais - a very silky and full fat type. It is a smooth glossy balm, very rich as only a little is needed to cover the whole foot.
The scent reminds me of a mint infusion with hint of soothing lavender. It's very pleasant, it can be smelled on application, it fades away quite quickly though and only delicate aroma of sweet mint, lavender and rosemary is left.

Ingredients and Properties:
The main ingredients are: Grapefruit Seed Extract and Nigella (Black Cumin)Oil for anti-bacterial action, Lavender Flower Water, Mint and Rosemary Leaf Oils to relax and soothe, plus Macadamia Oil to soften the skin.

On Melvita official website and at the back of the label you will learn that this cream will bring relief to hot and tired feet and that it will absorb easily thanks to Macadamia Oil. The recommendation is to keep the cream i a cool place to add the refreshing effect.
This cream contains a few chemicals that some of you won't agree with: Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate - and after reading some articles about these synthetically derived preservatives, it scares me to think they may deprive my skin cells from oxygen. More info here and here
I am still new to these issues though, please let me know what your thoughts are about these infamous ingredients.

My personal experience:
As you know my feet are the perfect TESTER for any foot care product, they are battered by miles ran off the beaten track and all the gruelling turns and twists on tennis court. Melvita cream didn't really absorb that easily, I reduced the amount on the application but this didn't help either. After the cream soaked in, (minimum five minutes wait) I actually felt the big difference - my skin was softened and slightly glowing. For over two weeks of continuous use, I noticed that the areas of harder skin were no longer an issue so a big plus for that. The scent is ok and although strong mint and rosemary essential oils are dominating the composition, they don't linger and don't interfere with your other body care products. I found that the scent actually fades away into a sweet musky note, still can't decide whether I like it or not. I think it kept my feet more resilient to blisters due to its intensive repairing and moisturising properties.
It costs £16 per 150ml tube, which with this cream's rich texture, it will last you longer than expected.

Have you ever  tried a natural foot cream that works wonders for you? What was so exciting about it? Please stop by and drop me a note.

My Very First Natural Beauty Wishlist

06:36 Melka 3 Comments

Based on natural beauty bloggers' recommendations and my own research I discovered many new creams and oils lately that I would love to try. The world of pure and honest beauty products is very inviting with all goodness that nature has to offer. I am hooked. Look what I found:

This face cream is crammed with natural plant extracts and oils, it is also formulated for sensitive skin, which I tend to suffer from. As it contains some of my favourite ingredients like  APRICOT KERNEL OIL,
ROSEHIP SEED OIL, GERANIUM AND ROSE WATER, no wonder it landed on my wishlist. What's more, this cream is free from parabens, SLS (sodium lauryl sulphate), SLES (sodium laureth sulphate), lanolin, propylene glycol and synthetic fragrances. Available fro thedorsetherbalist.co.uk at £8 per 50ml jar is in my opinion very good value for money deal.

Moisturising your body is equally as  important as caring for your face. I have long been a relentless supporter of regular application of quality body creams and butters. Why? It really works, it only takes two  minutes after every shower to rub in and it gives you wonderful benefits at minimum effort - soft, firm, stretchmark free skin ready to be exposed regardless of the season. For my next after shower moisturising session, I'd pick the above Lotion Naturelle as it intrigued me with unique ingredients blend - Korean Ginseng, Calendula,  Aloe Vera and Rose Petal Extract to boost skin's natural moisturising process for people with very dry skin and those who are prone to eczema and psoriasis.
Free from parabens, SLS, animal ingredients and fragrances it makes a safer choice recommended by natural health professionals acording to manufacturer's description. I want. The cost - £12.50 per 150ml tube.

I have been lucky enough to try this brand's Peppermint Foot Cream not so long ago. I have sampled quality, natural product on my feet, no wonder it made me crave for more. This time my pick is this beautiful gift set consisting of: 1 x Rose and Lavender Bath Salts 50g; 1 x Coconut Souffle Exfoliator 50g; 1 x Himalayan Salt Exfoliator; 1x Mango Butter 50g; 1 x Flannel. Everything at £40 per box this is sure to transform your bath time into blissful, deeply nourishing pamper experience. The ingredients list for these little wonders is short, simple and INNOCENT. It qualifies to be used by the srtictest  natural beauty enthusiasts.

Arabelle - yet another natural beauty discovery of mine with emphasis on the luxurious aspect of skincare. Supported by the belief that 70% of what we put on our skin ends up in our system, the brand refuses to use synthetics and ingredients produced in a lab to focus on pure ingredients and their powerful properties. This Serenity Body Oil is an epic creation with list of  ingredients that read like a love poem:

Organic Sweet Almond Oil
Organic Apricot Kernel Oil
Organic Grape Seed Oil
Jojoba Oil
Rosemary Oil
Extract Pure Vit E
Lavender Essential Oil
Petitgrain Essential Oil
Benzoin Essential Oil
Chamomile Essential Oil
Clary Sage Essential Oil
Ylang Ylang Essential Oil
Jasmine Absolute

I fell in love with this miraculous blend especially for its Benzoin Essential Oil taht helps ease muscle aches, Apricot Kernel Oil for its rejuvenating, vitamin rich, nourishing properties and Jasmine Absolute for its feminine relaxing aroma. At £18.50 per 200ml bottle, it may seem expensive but if you look at generous ingredients list, it is great value for money.

Lyonsleaf is a brand I first learnt  about reading Buff-Beauty.com blog. Not only does Lyonleaf website offer 100% natural skincare but also it gives tons of useful information about herbs use at home, ingredients in beauty or organic vs natural differences. My pick is unsurprisingly a body product again, with COCONUT OIL, SHEA BUTTER, AVOCADO BUTTER and CALENDULA EXTRACT, CLARY SAGE ESSENTIAL OIL, GERANIUM ESSENTIAL OIL, BLACK PEPPER ESSENTIAL OIL and BENZOIN. Full of goodness, with thorough description from the manufacturer, I can't wait to get my hands on this deeply nourishing, protecting and anti ageing body butter.
The cost - £12.95 per 110ml

Innocent looking judging by the outer packaging this little pot hides some power ingredients to work specifically on delicate, around  eye area. It contains rose oil plus resveratrol to combat ageing and loss of elasticity. Resveratrol received a very good press over the past decade for its strong protective and age defying skills, hence my keen  interest to try this cream out on my dry skin affected by sun overexposure and first expression lines. It's free from parabens and sulphates, cruelty free, natural product, made in UK that can be bought for £12.95 per 15ml pot. In it goes to the basket.

Have you ever tried any of the listed above products? If so, please share your opinion with me and help me make a more informed decision. What's more,  I am in a search for 100% natural cleansing body gels and washes, would love to read about your recommendations.

Happy is to be created - not found - Monday Motivational Talk

07:24 Melka 0 Comments

Today is a perfect day to promote Spring/Summer 2014 fashion trends - catwalks are full of vibrant colours, busy patterns, and light fabrics. VIBRANT-BUSY-LIGHT wear these on the outside, feel them in your heart.

There's no secret, you can CREATE your HAPPY mood regardless of what you have to deal with at present. If you are still struggling with not letting all "red-lighters" affect your actions or decisions, just sit down and make a thoughtful effort to accept this simple truth: YOU CREATE YOUR HAPPINESS. Stop looking for happiness, stop dreaming of the remote places or distant future moments. Start feeling the abundance of possibilities and chances that are at your footstep here and NOW.

The fashion creation below  is just a SYMBOL of what I am trying to make you believe. There are many more important things in life than an outfit idea, but if an outfit idea is going to make someone realise sth critical about themselves and is going to lead to some  positive actions or changes -then it is a very valid piece of work.

Enjoy, be happy, do happy, infect others with happy.

Happy in the Making

For Clay Season Fans

17:03 Melka 0 Comments

I was asked to specifically suggest a tennis outfit  for men. Here, I have chosen Fred Perry polo shirt and Nike Woven shorts in dark denim colour. The Lacoste red cap will change even the bluntest look into a sporty, aggresive style, with the wearer aiming at epic win. The sleek Lacoste light  trainers, although perfectly complement this set, can only be worn to walk or run to the tennis club, they can't be used to play in them. It's all about the French flag colours here, being a reminder of upcoming clay season and long awaited French Open Grand Slam.

STRETCHING - Why, When What and How?

06:16 Melka 0 Comments

With so many internet resources available with fitness advice there is no surprise people get confused of what to do, how to do it and at what stage of their workouts. I would like to help you find answers to these questions in my article.

WHY?

I think it would be fair to remind a few FACTS about streching before I go ahead and present you with my own theory.

A - Stretching is an integral part of your fitness regime, there's no point to start exercising and neglect your stretches
B - Stretching balances out the physical action in your muscles - your muscles are stimulated to grow, or just become stronger by flexing and tensing them, but to get them back to their normal length and keep the same range of motion, you MUST stretch the shortened and tired muscles.
C - It speeds up recovery time after training
D - It improves your posture and agility, therefore it makes all physical tasks or playing sports much easier
E - It prevents you from painful injuries
F - It boosts blood circulation in your system ( again this helps with recovery, and endurance when exercising for longer periods o ftime)

WHEN?

This is a very important part as the confusion is often linked with not being sure when to stretch - BEFORE or AFTER exercise.

Stretching can only be safe AFTER you have warmed your muscles up, so I recommend you leave it until you have had a minimum of 15 minutes of physical exertion.
It is important you make your STRETCH time a priority - remember that if you want to reach long term goals in fitness and stay injury free, stretches are the key.

What about stretching during a workout? You'll find many opinions regarding this matter. I wouldn't recommend it knowing that stretching relaxes your muscles and thus may weaken them temporarily. You'd risk some sort of  strain if you stretch right in the middle of your exercise.

Just to help you believe my words, I would like to confess that within years of my running, interval training and tennis palying, I was guilty of not doing my stretches in favour for a few more sit ups here or two more sprints there. I ended up damaging my left foot - so that now I have to manage the combo of plantar fascitis and achilles heel injury. I mainly do it by regular, diligent stretching routine. Let me put that in capitals: INJURIES ARE SO PAINFUL TO RECOVER FROM - DON'T RISK GETTING THEM - STRETCH

WHAT AND HOW?

There are many stretches you can do for each muscle group, but bearing in mind that people are very busy nowadays, I'd go for complex types of stretches that target many muscle groups all in one go, in other words, do YOGA POSES

FOR CALVES, HAMSTRINGS, BACK  - perform  Downward Facing Dog,

FOR BUTTOCKS, HIPS AND SHOULDERS  - perform Half Lord of Fishes

FOR QUADRICEPS, CHEST, ABDOMINALS AND BACK- perform Bridge

FOR GROINS, HIPS, HAMSTRINGS - perform Seated Forward Bend

FOR ENTIRE SIDE OF THE BODY - perform this Side Angle Pose

These five poses will take you through a complex, full body stretch routine, that will create a healthier, stronger  ATHLETE...or leaner, more supple and happier everyday WARRIOR.
It may take you a little longer to master the above poses initially, but once you do, you'll be able to perform them without any tutorials, as your awarness of your body increases. It is really easy. Start today.

To sum up, whatever you train for, stretches are CRITICAL to accomplish your goals with SUCCESS. Commit to it, and you'll feel the positive difference that extends beyond your workout matt.

Jurlique Body Exfoliating Gel - REVIEW

16:42 Melka 2 Comments

Exfoliators are some of the most effective beauty products you can use on your body. Depending on the skin type or personal preference you can choose from sugar based scrubs, salt srubs, scrubs with ground nut shells, coffee bean scrubs etc. The benefits of using scrubs regularly are endless, from cleansing, boosting circulation in the body to removing dead skin cells for more effective skin reneval process.

This Jurlique Body Exfoliating Gel  may be the perfect find if you are looking for:

A. Scrub with ground walnut shell powder as a buffing ingredient
B. Scrub with coarser texture
C. Scrub that has powerful cleansing properties
D. Scrub that will help rebalance oily patches on your body, like back or decolette area (Witch Hazel, Rosemary, Tea Tree Extracts and Lemon Balm)
E. Scrub that will invigorate your senses (herby, citrusy natural scent)
F. Scrub with array of naturally derived plant extracts and oils (Green Tea Extract, Lavender Extract, Witch Hazel Extract, Turmeric Extract, Carrot Root Extract, Nettle Extract, Avocado Oil)

My experience with Jurlique Exfoliating Gel:

Although description on Jurlique website says "Gentle", I would categorise it as "Medium Rough" due to its walnut shell powder base (shell powder won't dissolve in contact with water, therefore its exfoliating action lasts until you totally  rinse it away with water). My skin received rejuvenating massage which I really enjoyed. The gel like product spreads easily on contact even with dry skin, which helps reach full benefits of exfoliation. After rinsing the product off, I felt slight warming sensation on my body and the skin was softer to the touch and smoother. I haven't experienced any hydrating though and no protective layer from natural oils was formed.

I liked this Exfoliating Gel  mainly for its circulation improving powers but I wouldn't  buy this again as I am not a  fan of overpowering citrusy scents mixed up with woody notes.(this is how I perceived it).

Also, Jurlique listed Sodium Hydroxymethylglycinate in ingredient list which is a chemical preservative that may cause irritations if the amount is more than 0.1% . PEG 7 is another synthetic acting as an emulsifier which can potentially contain toxins from manufacturing process and reduce your skin's natural moisture factor. Please see the full list below:

Arbonne Calm Gentle Moisturiser REVIEW

17:28 Melka 0 Comments

In October 2013 I was introduced to Arbonne Skincare by one of the UK consultants. I was sent samples to try and a catalogue to look at. After some research I was full of admiration towards the ethics the company preached:

"More than just grounded in green values, we are putting them into action. We're taking "pure, safe and beneficial" to the next level through our efforts to match the purity of our ingredients with the earth friendliness of our packaging. So what's good on the inside is also good on the outside." Read More here

These powerful statements plus my growing eager to switch to safer, more natural skincare products, contributed to my decision  to purchase the Arbonne Calm Gentle Moisturiser

Why this cream? (Arbonne offers many skincare lines)

- Irritated skin - I decided to try this gentle moisturiser because had suffered from irritations and redness on my face for a while. At that time I was still looking for the optimal face cream that would have been the most suitable for my sensitive skin.
- Savings - The cream cost was £26 per 118ml tube - that hugely helped with the purchase decision.
- Novelty - I have never heard of Arbonne products before so curiosity and my personal tendency to buying new skincare having to read about it, led to popping Calm Moisturiser to the online basket.

Facts I liked about this product.

Texture and fragrance- very light, whipped cream texture, absorbed easily, no sign of oily residue on skin, it also had this barely there scent, that I would compare to the smell of an oat milk.
Hydration - the cream hydrated my skin perfectly, it worked well as under makeup base and I realised it made my foundation stay put for longer.
Diminished redness - the cream made my skin less prone to irritations, especially around my chin and evened out the tone of my skin significantly.
- Paraben, sulphate and colourant free - I am very strict as to what additives I allow near my skin now so  great job from Arbonne they didn't include these three baddies.

Fact I didn't like about this product.

Unfortunately, Arbonne is a brand that doesn't list the ingredients on its products' labels. I learned from the website (had problems finding the info) about "key ingredients", but the full list was not provided. It did worry me that the brand based on social selling scheme compromised on its transparency. The key ingredients were as follows:

  1. Aloe Vera
  2. Cucumber
  3. Chamomile
  4. Mallow
  5. Sea Mayweed
  6. Japanese Green Tea
All of these natural actives have a proven history of being particularly beneficial for sensitive skin by hydrating, soothing and protecting it. Calm Gentle Moisturiser worked well for me, it didn't last for as long as I'd expect though, it took me just over two months to finish this tube (apllied onto neck too).

Overall, It is a quality face cream that helps alleviate problems associated with sensitivity and the damage is usually less visible after just a week of regular application. My redness around chin area took two weeks to disappear. I would have bought it again if it wasn't for the lack of honest labelling.

Have you ever tried any of Arbonne skincare? I would love you to share your opinion.
